I loved reading this! That converse and flannel look is so accurate and so vivid. I think what’s making me have the most intense whiplash is just how quickly the pendulum swings these days, from one end to the next - in a matter of seasons (if that). I also wonder how the exorbitant rates on rent these days will affect these types of migrations.

Maybe it already is? I assume that the relatively cheap rent/real estate in places like Montana is what makes a lot of "tradwife" content possible.

Elena and some other creators I have seen are also flocking to Europe, particularly Paris. Curious if that will the next U.S. creator spot.

I had no idea what to expect going in and I really enjoyed reading this. I only got into YouTube a couple of years ago interestingly enough so this was a cool distillation of what a huge part of the platform was (and I'd argue still is, especially in South Africa minus the content houses)

Oh, this hits so hard. You perfectly capture how the influencer pipeline has shifted from LA’s curated, palm-tree aesthetic to NYC’s fast-paced, messy-chic energy. The way you weave in personal nostalgia (the white Converse era was so real) with the bigger cultural shift makes it feel both inevitable and kinda bittersweet. Also, the bit about swapping Bethany Mota for Carrie Bradshaw? Obsessed.

The question now is—where does it all go next? 👀
